A large number of devotees offered worship to Sri Akilandeswari and Sri Jambukeswarar at Tiruvanaikovil on the occasion of float festival to mark Adi Pooram celebrations on Sunday.
Elaborate arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the festival. The float with the idols were taken around the tank which was decorated with electrical lights. The temple authorities had to take special efforts for supplying water from three bore wells into the tank for the past 20 days till 4 p.m. on Sunday.
