EVMs come under scrutiny

Collector Jayashree Muralidharan inspected the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at the collectorate, here on Monday.

The verification was in the presence of representatives of political parties for confirming error-free mechanism in its utility.

A total of 3,122 ballot units and 4,052 control units are under safe custody at the collectorate.

The first phase of technical accuracy of operations was examined and demonstrated by revenue officials under the guidance of A. Ramesh Babu and L. Sunil, both engineers from BHEL, Bangalore.
