July 13, 2014 11:58 am | Updated 11:58 am IST - TIRUCHI:

The Tiruchi Corporation has cautioned people against approaching middlemen for getting jobs in the civic body.

Corporation Commissioner V.P.Thandapani, in a press release, said the Department of Municipal Administration and Water Supply has issued orders for filling up vacant posts in the civic body. The process of verifying the certificates of candidates recommended by the District Employment Office for different posts was currently underway.

The list of candidates recommended by the Employment Office has been put up at the Corporation office for the public to verify. Candidates will be selected based on their eligibility and communal roster by the selection committee.

Court injunctions have been obtained against filling up 21 posts, including 16 posts of junior engineers, two posts of drivers and three posts of technical assistances.

Mr.Thandapani urged candidates not to be deceived by middlemen promising to get jobs at the Corporation. If any person held out such promises, candidates should prefer complaints with the police, District Collector or the Corporation Commissioner.
