Black shirt-clad cadre of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam distributed handbills in different parts of the district on Saturday alleging failure of governance under the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam regime.

Handbills

While former minister and party district secretary K.N.Nehru distributed the handbills to traders and people at Central Bus Stand and Rahmaniapuram in the city, former minister N.Selvaraj led the campaign at Manachanallur area.

Former MLAs and other office bearers of the party distributed the handbills in other parts of the district.

Anti-democratic

The party, in the handbills, condemned the “anti-democratic” actions of the State government, alleged a breakdown in law and order and highlighted the sufferings of the people owing to the heavy load shedding. It also condemned the hike in the price of milk, bus fare, and power tariff. All sections of the people have been affected by the price rise under the present government, they alleged.
