Diagnostic equipment commissioned

Advanced diagnostic equipment, acquired at a total cost of Rs.80 lakh, for various department of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, were commissioned on Sunday.

Electroencephalograph (EEG), electroneuromyograph (EMG), gastrointestinal video endoscope, colonoscope and a bio-chemical auto analyser were among the diagnostic equipment commissioned.

The equipment were commissioned by T.P.Poonachi, Minister for Khadi and Village Industries, in the presence of P.Kumar, MP, R.Manoharan, Government Chief Whip, M.Paranjothi, MLA, Jayashree Muralidharan, Collector, and others.

A.Karthikeyan, Dean, K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College, P.Sivakumar, Resident Medical Officer, and Dr.M.A.Aleem were present.
