A large number of devotees witnessed the ‘Tirumangai Mannan Vedupari' ritual at Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple and offered worship to Namperumal on Monday.

The ritual, falling on the eighth day of the ‘Irapaththu’ of the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival, signifies Lord Narayanan's blessing to Tirumangai Mannan who had come to rob the Lord and His Consort of valuables. Devotees offered worship to Namperumal being taken from one part to another on the Manalveli, marking the significance of the ritual. Earlier, Namperumal was brought from Sandhanu Mandapam in Kuthirai Vaganam, which was followed by Vaiyali Kandarulal. Later, Namperumal was taken to Thirumamani Mandapam.
