Co-optex sets Rs. 36-lakh sales target

Co-optex has set a sales target of Rs. 36 lakh for the district this Deepavali, said M. Chandrasekaran, District Collector, here on Wednesday.

Inaugurating the Deepavali sales at the Co-optex showroom, the Collector said an annual sales target of Rs. 56 lakh has been fixed for the district. For entire Cuddalore region, comprising Cuddalore, Villupuram, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts and Puduchery and Karaikal regions, an annual sales target of Rs. 19 crore has been fixed by the Co-optex. Deepavali sales target for the entire region which has 21 showrooms is Rs. 9.55 crore.

He appealed to the people to patronise weavers by purchasing co-optex clothes. A rebate varying from 20 per cent to 30 per cent is offered for the purchases made during Deepavali. Besides, loan facility is available for government servants, those working in public and private sectors. Boopathy, Regional Manager of Co-optex and Ramachandran, Tiruvarur co-optex branch manager, were present.
