Collector distributes welfare assistance

Collector T.K.Ponnusamy instructed the officials to take quick action on petitions submitted at the public grievances meeting and inform the petitioners about the action taken on their petitions within a fortnight.

Mr.Ponnusamy issued orders at the meeting granting old age pension to 11 persons and distributed Rs.12, 500 to seven persons under social security scheme, hearing aids to two persons and tricycle to a physically challenged. He received more than two hundred petitions relating to patta transfer, education and marriage grant, old age pension and assistance for the differently abled .

The Collector who heard the grievances of the people of Karayankurichi , immediately instructed the officials to provide all basic amenities including drinking water and roads to the village. He assured the villagers that he would inspect the village at the earliest. R.Pichai, DRO, J.Bella, Project Officer, DRDA, Sadayappa Vinayagamurthy, Assistant Director (panchayats) attended the meeting.
