College director dies in accident

TIRUCHI: Fr. G. Sagaya Raja, 55, Director, Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts, Tiruchi, died in a road accident on the Tiruchi – Chennai national highway near Mangalamedu in Perambalur district when he was travelling in a car to Chennai from here on Tuesday. Sources said the car rammed a goods carrier which was proceeding before it at around 11 a.m. causing his death on the spot. The car dashed against the goods carrier when the vehicle took a right turn. The car driver Ramesh and another occupant, were injured. They were admitted in a private hospital here. The police have registered a case.
