Arrest those behind Babri Masjid demolition: TMMK

Members of the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) staged a demonstration on the occasion of Babri Masjid demolition anniversary here on Tuesday demanding the arrest of those responsible for the demolition of the Babri Masjid.

The demonstration in which Muslim women also took part was led by the TMMK district president A. Abdul Hakkim at Puthur four road junction.

The TMMK demanded the arrest of 68 persons indicted by the Liberhan Commission for demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992 and urged the Supreme Court to expedite the case. The members raised slogans in support of their demands.

A section of members of the Tamil Nadu Tauheed Jamaath staged a demonstration near the Ramakrishna theatre here condemning the demolition of the Babri Masjid. It was led by the organisation's district president Rizwan Hussain.
