Air Asia to add 3 more flights per week to Kuala Lumpur from Tiruchi

The new flights from Kochi will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from December 1, in addition to the daily service on the sector

Low cost carrier Air Asia would operate three more flights a week to Kuala Lumpur from Tiruchi effective December 2.

With this, the total number of flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Tiruchi-Kuala Lumpur service will go up to 14 a week, from the existing 11.

The airline has also announced three additional flights to Kuala Lumpur from Kochi, taking the total number of flights a week on the Kuala Lumpur-Kochi-Kuala Lumpur sector to 10.

The new flights to and from Tiruchi will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The airline already operates daily services on the sector and two flights a day on certain week days.

Only in October the airline had increased its frequency on the sector from seven to 11 a week.

Flights from Kochi

The new flights from Kochi will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from December 1, in addition to the daily service on the sector.

The airline also offers a special promotion fare of Rs.3,339 from Kochi to Kuala Lumpur and Rs.3,899 from Tiruchi to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the increase in flights.

Tickets under the promotional fare can be booked till November 11 for travel between December 11 and February 5.

“The increase of flight frequency for Tiruchi and Kochi to Kuala Lumpur sector is to provide guests more choice of flights to suit their schedule and travel preferences,” said Jasmine Lee, Air Asia Berhad Commercial Director, in a press release.

Meanwhile, Tiger Airways has added two flights a week on the Singapore-Tiruchi-Singapore sector from October 28, taking its total number of services to 11 a week. The airline now offers two flights to Singapore from here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, apart from one service on other week days.
