The last date for submission of filled-in applications for admissions to the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) for Women at Pullampadi will be June 10. Applications are being issued at the ITI currently and can also be had from other government ITIs.
The ITI offers courses in Electronics, Desk Top Publishing Operator, Computer Operators and Programming Assistant, Shorthand and Cloth Cutting and Tailoring. The Electronics course is a two-year programme and all the others are one-year courses. A pass in class 10 is the eligibility for admission.
There will be no age limit. There will be no training fee and selected candidates would be provided a scholarship of Rs.500 a month. Candidates would be eligible for free bus pass, free laptops and free bi-cycles. Hostel facility is also available.
The ITI would soon introduce two new courses on ‘Multimedia Animation with Special Effects’ and ‘Surface Ornamentation Techniques,’ District Collector K.S.Palanisamy said.
