A science exhibition currently in progress at the Corporation Middle School in Bheema Nagar has come as a rare opportunity for students to exhibit their talents in preparing a model based on scientific principles.

About 40 models have been displayed at the expo, each representing a specific principle in physics, chemistry or biology. Many students have prepared models in physics using the principle of ‘conversion of energy,’ ‘light rays’ and ‘vibration in sound waves.’ The models in chemistry explain the differences between a chemical acid and a chemical base, says D. Rajarajeswari, headmistress of the school, also a science teacher who guided students in preparing the models.

“A model on dancing balloon displays the release of carbonate while the exhibits in biology show the difference between the mono cot and dicot plants.

The exhibition is open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. till Friday.
