15 children given sports kits

Collector K.S. Palanisamy presented sports kits to the trainees of the SDAT Badminton Academy here recently.

Fifteen trainees of the academy, 10 boys and five girls, were provided sports kits, which included track suit, racket, shoes, and kit bag. Each sports kit was estimated at Rs. 15,000. The trainees, all aged below 16, had been undergoing coaching for 25 days a month at the academy from November last year.

P. Kalaiselvan, district sports and youth welfare officer, was present.
