113 cases disposed at National Lok Adalat

As many as 113 cases were disposed through the National Lok Adalat held in the district on Saturday.

About 409 pending cases, including Workmen Compensation Act cases, maintenance cases, civil cases, cheque dishonour cases, Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Original Petitions, labour disputes, and matrimonial suits were taken up in the Lok Adalat.

The disposals led to a total settlement of Rs.1.36 crore in relevant cases.

Lok Adalats were held at District Court, Musiri, Lalgudi, and Thuraiyur courts.

S. Kumaraguru, Principal District and Sessions Judge and chairman, District Legal Services Authority, inaugurated the Lok Adalat.
