Workshop on folk tales

The Russian Cultural Centre is organising a workshop to introduce Russian folk tales which were once the favourites of Malayalis to the younger generation.

The main attractions will be exhibition of Russian folk tale books and training for children in dramas based on these folk tales.

Students from Russia will present their favourite stories in their native language. There will also be reading sessions of translations of these stories in English, Tamil and Hindi.

Writers, actors and journalists will speak about the Russian folk tales which influenced them.

The workshop will be on April 17 at the Russian Cultural Centre from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 75 students will be provided entry, which will be free. Call: 0471-2338399, 99958 86308.
