Trains to be augmented

Eight expresses to get two additional coaches each

Southern Railway will permanently attach two additional general coaches in eight express trains operating in the State for the benefit of short-distance commuters.

Train 16304/16303 Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam Vanchinad Express, train 16313/16314, Kannur – Ernakulam Express, 16307/16308 Alappuzha-Kannur Express and 16305/16306 Ernakulam-Kannur Express are the trains to get the additional coaches.

A railway release said the augmentation will start from June 20 in the Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam Vanchinad express and all these trains will have 20 coaches by June 24.
