Training for teachers

As part of the ongoing programme by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for continuous empowerment of teachers and heads of schools affiliated to it, a one-day teacher-training programme will be organised at the Jyothis Central School here on Wednesday.

The former State Police Chief Jacob Punnose is scheduled to inaugurate the training programme and lead a session on life skills and moral values on the day.

A press note issued here said the training programme for principals, vice-principals and teachers from Thiruvananthapuram. Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha would be undertaken by ‘Expressions India,’ the agency tasked by the CBSE to carry out the continuous empowerment programme. More than 1,000 teachers from 200 CBSE schools were expected to take part in the programme.
