Traffic restrictions will be in place in the city from 2 p.m. on Monday in connection with the Youth March of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).
Vehicles from the Peroorkada side towards Thampanoor will have to take the Peroorkada-Kowdiar-Vellayambalam- Vazhuthacaud- Mettukada-Thampanoor flyover-Ponnara Park route.
Vehicles that have to go from Peroorkada to East Fort have to go via Peroorkada-Kowdiar-Vellayambalam-Vazhuthacaud-Xanadu- Thycaud-Thampanoor flyover-Killipalam-Attakulangara, while those that have to go from East Fort towards Nedumangad have to take the Attakulangara-Killipalam-Thampanoor flyover-Thycaud-Xanadu-Vazhuthacaud-Vellayambalam route.
Vehicles that have to go from Thampanoor towards Nedumangad will have to take the Thampanoor-Aristo Junction-Model School Junction-Bakery Junction-Vazhuthacaud-Vellayambalam route.
The route for vehicles that have to go from Thampanoor towards MC Road and NH Road will be Thampanoor-Aristo Junction-Model School-Panavila flyover-Underpass-Asan Square-General Hospital Junction- Pattoor-Pettah-Chakka-Bypass-Kazhakuttam or via Pettah-Kannamoola-Medical College- Ulloor or via Bakery Junction- Vazhuthacaud-Vellayambalam -Kowdiar-Kuravankonam-Pattom.
Vehicles coming from MC Road towards Thampanoor will have to proceed via Mannanthala- Kudappanakkunnu-Peroorkada-Vellayam balam-Vazhuthacaud-Xanadu-Panavila-Model School-Aristo Junction. Vehicles coming from NH Road towards Thampanoor have to go via Kesavadasapuram-Pattom- Kowdiar-Vellayam balam-Xanadu-Panavila-Model School-Aristo Junction.
From Kazhakuttam
Vehicles from the Kazhakuttam side of NH Road that have to go towards East Fort will have to go via Kazhakuttam-Mukkola-Chakka–Enchakkal-West Fort, and those that have to go from the East Fort side towards Pappanamcode and Neyyattinkara have to go via Attakulangara- Killipalam-Karamana.
Vehicles proceeding from the Thampanoor side towards Pappanamcode and Neyyattinkara have to go via Ponnara Park-Thampanoor flyover-Killipalam- Karamana.
Vehicles that bring in participants of the Youth March should park near the Chakka bypass, and take the Pettah route to reach there.
