TRAC demands completion of projects

Several public works projects are hanging fire because of the State government's lack of political will to pursue land acquisition process, Trivandrum Residents' Apex Council (TRAC) has said.

In a statement here on Friday, TRAC pointed out that several projects initiated by the pervious LDF government in the capital city, such as the construction of bridges at Maruthankuzhi, Vallakkadavu, and Kundamonkadavu, were stalled at various stages as the Finance Minister had not allocated funds for these projects in the revised Budget of the present government.

The government should explain how they intended to complete these projects as funds had not been set aside for the same, TRAC asked.

The residents' associations will give all support to the government for completing the projects, TRAC leaders said in the statement.
