Television awards announced

Minister for Cultural Affairs A.K. Balan declared the State Television Awards for the years 2014 and 2015 on Friday.

Easwaran Sakshi directed by K.K.Rajeev was selected as the best tele-serial for 2015. Kattukurangu directed by Mohan Kupleri won the award for the second best short film. Bonjour Mayyazhi directed by E.M.Ashraf won the award for the best telefilm of 2015 and Mavelikkara Post office directed by K.J. Praveen Kumar won it for 2014. Balance directed by Binsad has been selected as the best short telefilm of 2014 and Nadakaanthyam directed by Vidhu Vincent for 2015.

Munshi Baiju is 2015’s best actor for his performance in Nadakaanthyam and Murugan won the award for 2014 for his performance in Unmaadam . Prem Prakash is the second best actor for 2015 and Kottayam Rashid won the award for 2014. Janaki Nair won the best actress award of 2015 for River Life and Seema G. Nair won it for 2014 for Moksham . Divya Prabha is the second best actress of 2015 and Meera Muraleedharan for 2014.

Aaromal won the Best Child Actor award for 2015 for his performance in Kunjedathi and Akshay and Nitish shared the award for 2014 for their performance in Kotti . Fousiya Fathima won the best cinematographer award for 2015 and M.J. Radhakrishnan won it for 2014.

Kanalaadi directed by V.K. Anil Kumar won the award for best documentary of 2015 and Adutha Bellodu koodi jeevitham aarambhikkum directed by Manilal won the award for 2014. Kuttanad: Oru apoorva marutha thina directed by Pradeep Nair won the best science and environment documentary award for 2015 and Nalla Mannu directed by V.M. Deepa and Ammakkili directed by Biju Muthathi shared the award for 2014. Muravili directed by Anwar Ali and Dramanujam directed by Mahesh Panchu shared the award for the best documentary for 2015 and Sangeetham – M.K. Arjunan directed by Sajeev Pazhoor wonit for 2014.

Amma directed by Neelan won the award for the best documentary (women and children) for 2015 and Red, blue, green, yellow directed by Sherry and Jaleel won the award for 2014. ‘Malayalam Television Charithram’ by T.K. Santhosh Kumar won the award for the best book on Malayalam Television for 2014. ‘Miniscreenile Kochu TV’ by Shyamji won the award for the best article in Malayalam on television for 2015 and ‘Television nirmikkunna pratheethi’ by V.K. Joseph won it for 2014.
