As many 1000 students will soon be equipped to maintain computer labs in their schools under a programme launched by the district office of the IT@School project.
The school student IT coordinators will be trained to repair problems with the computers and the network, maintain other facilities in the lab and use handy cams and camera to prepare documentaries of functions and programmes held in the school. They will also receive training in updating the school wiki and blog and handling various ICT equipment. Master trainers under the IT@School project will handle the free software- based programme spread over 30 sessions.
