Two examinations to be held at the same time have put candidates appearing for both in a dilemma.
The two examinations — the BSNL’s Telephone Technical Assistant recruitment test and the General Insurance Corporation of India’s (GIC) recruitment test to the assistant grade — are scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 14.
According to a parent of one of the candidates from the city, the BSNL had announced its examination date well in advance and had despatched hall tickets too. The candidates received the hall tickets early last week. However, the GIC had announced that the exam would be held either on July 14 or July 21, and announced the exact date only on Saturday morning on its website.
“We had paid the requisite application fee — Rs.500 for the TTA exam and Rs.140 for the GIC exam — by demand draft.
But now we will have to choose between one of the two examinations since the timings clash,” the parent said.
