A Cabinet sub-committee, which has been constituted to study the issue of flooding in the capital city, visited on Tuesday some of the areas affected by a flash flood during the heavy rain on December 31.

The team comprising Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Minister for Public Works V.K. Ebrahim Kunju, and Minister for Transport and Devaswoms V.S. Sivakumar visited Jagathy, Killipalam, and Maruthankuzhi in the city on Tuesday. They were accompanied by District Collector K.N. Satheesh and officials of Irrigation, Public Works, and Revenue Departments and the Kerala Water Authority.
