Registrations are on for the four pre-counselling guidance programmes that The Hindu-Education Plus will organise in different centres in Kerala starting May 28 for students seeking admission to courses in various professional streams.
The half-day programmes are scheduled for May 28 in Kannur, May 29 in Kozhikode, June 1 in Thiruvananthapuram and June 2 in Kochi. Entry will be free, but seats will be available on a first come, first served basis. Advance registration is suggested.
Being held for the ninth successive year, the programmes are aimed at helping students with information and inputs on different aspects of the admission process and also on factors to be borne in mind while making the course-college choices.
The ongoing changes in the admission procedure involving the inclusion of marks in the Plus Two examinations and the process of normalisation will be focussed upon at The Hindu-EducationPlus Fair 2012.
The sessions will include an overview of the key courses in the professional stream and a presentation on the online seat allotment process conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
The considerations that matter while exercising options in the engineering stream will be highlighted.
Registration forms are available at the offices of The Hindu at three centres; registrations can also be made by e-mail, in which case candidates should mail their names, addresses and telephone numbers.
