Judge of the Kerala High Court Pius C. Kuriakose has asked the special team probing the fake stamp paper case to take stringent action against those involved in the forging of judicial stamp papers and profited by submitting them in lieu of actual payment of fee to adjudicate on civil suits.

The High Court Judge issued this directive during a review meeting organised with the investigation team headed by City Police Commissioner T.J. Jose and court officers at the chamber of Principal Sessions Judge B. Sudheendra Kumar in the District Court complex here on Monday.

During the one-hour meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Putta Vimaladitya, Assistant Commissioner of Police K.S. Vimal and other investigators were present.

As it was a holiday for the courts in the capital city on Monday, the verification of the stamp papers were not carried out on the day.

Meanwhile, forged stamp papers to the tune of Rs.4,000 were found to have been submitted at the Neyyattinkara sub-court on Monday during the verification of the authenticity of stamp papers in the wake of the unearthing of the fraud.
