One more domestic flight from international terminal

December 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 24, 2016 11:47 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Jet Airways flight 9W 824 from the capital city to Bengaluru will operate from the international terminal (Terminal 2) of the Thiruvananthapuram international airport from January 1.

The decision to shift the terminal for flight operations is in view of the use of the same aircraft deployed for international operations for operating flight to Bengalaru as well. With this, the airline can save money and time as it can avoid towing the aircraft from Terminal 2 to the domestic terminal at Shanghumugham.

Jet Airways flight 9W 824 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 a.m. from Terminal 2 and will reach Bengaluru at 7.15 a.m.

The flight will then proceed to New Delhi arriving there at 10.40 a.m. and finally going to Dehradun at 12.15 noon. On the return leg, the flight 9W 823Y will depart from Dehradun at 12.50 noon and will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7 p.m. at the Terminal 2, and with a stop-over at Delhi at 2.25 p.m., and Bengaluru at 5.50 p.m. respectively.

The airline currently operates two domestic flights from Thiruvananthapuram connecting major metro destinations and has international connections to the Middle East. The flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai — 9W 389/388 — will continue to operate from the domestic terminal (Terminal 1) at Shanghumugham, the airline said in a press release here.
