The Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA) has refuted the Health Minister’s statement in the Assembly that Rs.20,000 was being given to doctors as an incentive to serve in Kasaragod district. In a statement here on Tuesday, the KGMOA pointed out that the said incentive, as part of the Kasaragod package, was given to doctors only till August 2013. For the past two years, doctors working in Kasaragod have not been receiving the incentive. The KGMOA asked the government ensure implementation of the Kasaragod package.
