The city Corporation, as part of its various welfare measures, distributed ‘talking’ computers and laptops to the visually challenged at a function on the Corporation premises on Wednesday. Mayor V.K. Prashanth distributed the computers to the beneficiaries.

He said that the Corporation was turning the city into a differently abled friendly city.

Projects are being planned for the welfare of the differently abled persons. Talking computers were distributed by the Corporation to 10 beneficiaries as part of the people’s plan project for the year 2016-17. Deputy Mayor Rakhi Ravikumar presided over the function.
