Man collapses in front of CM’s office, dies

A 55-year-old man who reached the Chief Minister’s office to submit a memorandum collapsed and died on Monday. The deceased, V. Mohan Kumar, a native of Powdikonam, was waiting in front of the CM’s office when he collapsed. Though the security guards and police rushed him to the Government Medical College Hospital here, he was declared dead on arrival. He was the president of the KSI Cooperative Society.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed grief at the sudden death of Mr. Kumar.

The memorandum he intended to submit was pertaining to a public cause, Mr. Vijayan said in a press release, adding that the demands would be given a sympathetic consideration.
