The Vyloppilly Samskriti Bhavan here will organise a seven-day summer camp titled ‘Mampazhakkalam’ for children studying in classes V to X from Sunday.
Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar will inaugurate the camp at the bhavan.
Days to begin with yoga
Each day of the camp would begin with a yoga session, Samskriti Bhavan member secretary Balu Kiriyath and camp coordinator P.A.M. Rasheed told a news conference here.
In the course of the camp, children would get to interact with Additional Director General of Police B. Sandhya on traffic rules, artist-turned filmmaker Nemom Pushparaj on cinema, writer K.B. Harikumar on cartooning, magician Gopinath Muthukad on magic, theatre doyen Kavalam Narayana Panicker on music, and education expert C.P. Aravindakshan on mathematics.
The high point of the camp would be an interaction with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and family at his official residence here. The camp would conclude on May 11, the 102th birth anniversary of Vyloppilly Sreedhara Menon, with a recitation competition. Cultural Affairs Minister K.C. Joseph would present certificates to the camp members.
