The Assembly on Monday paid rich tributes to former Speaker T.S. John who passed away on June 9.
In his obituary reference, Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan remembered the contributions made by John as legislator, Speaker of the House and Minister, and his profound connect with the electorate.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said John had relentlessly fought for farmers, highlighting their issues in the House.
Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala said John’s intervention as Food Minister had set an example in using the public distribution system to hold the price line.
