The public sector HLL Lifecare Ltd., in collaboration with the Health Department, has set up the first of its kind one-stop specialty retail outlet for medical devices and essential drugs at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
Affordable rate
The outlet will offer surgical implants, surgical consumables, essential medicines, and many life-saving drugs at affordable rate to the public.
In the first phase, orthopaedic implants and instruments will be made available and later on, other devices and drugs will be offered.
“HLL has been instrumental in bringing in many innovations in the area of life sciences. We evolved this project to ensure that the poor patients coming to Medical College Hospital can buy all medical implants and orthopaedic devices from a single outlet at moderate rate, Chairman and Managing Director of HLL Lifecare M. Ayyappan said here on Wednesday.
