Gold chain snatched from woman

A 27-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain at Sreekaryam on Wednesday evening.

The Sreekaryam police said Priya, 27, was walking home after alighting from a bus at the Gandhipuram bus stop when a man on a motorcycle with a woman riding pillion snatched her chain, estimated to weigh 3 sovereigns. The man was wearing a helmet. There was also a child on the motorcycle, the complainant said.

Similar incident

A couple of days ago, in another incident involving a woman riding pillion on a motorcycle, a man and a woman had snatched a gold necklace from a teenager at Anayara.

Complainant says a man on a two-wheeler, riding with a woman and child, snatched her chain.
