October 27, 2013 12:26 pm | Updated 12:26 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The City Shadow Police on Saturday arrested Sathikumar, 43, alias Ammanam Sathi, a native of Amaravila, with five kilos of ganja that he was preparing to hand over to dealers here.

Sathikumar was the main supplier of ganja to small-scale dealers at Beemapally, Kovalam, Valiathura, the Karimadam Colony, and Chenkalchoola, the police said.

The police said they had nabbed several small-scale peddlers and had laid a trap to nab Sathikumar, the main supplier, who brought ganja from Cumbum, Theni, and Usilampatti. Sathikumar had several cases registered against him and had intensified his ganja dealings after getting out on bail in a murder case, the police said.
