Estimated cost of projects

: Of the 21 projects announced under the District Flagship Infrastructure Project, the Cherthala-Vechoor-

Kumarakom-

Kodimatha Chira-KK Road-Kodimatha-Manarcaud Bypass Road Phase I requires the highest amount — Rs.801.10 crore, and the Palakkad Link Bypass the lowest — Rs.25.30 crore.

The upgrade of Chavara KMML junction-Kuttivattom-Kadapuzha-Kundara-IT Park-Kottiyam Road (Rs.50 crore), the 75-km Enath-Elamkulam-Vallikkodu-Chitta-Plappally (Rs.100 crore), 840-metre Valiya Azheekkal Bridge (Rs.110 crore); and Kuruthikalam-Velliymattom-Thodupuzha-Vannapuram-Cheruthony road (Rs.119 crore) figure among the sanctioned projects.

Land acquisition and works of Pulleppady-Thammanam-Chakkaraparambu NH bypass (Rs.300 crore), Vyttila (Rs.90 crore), Kundanoor (Rs.85 crore), Padinjarekkotta (Rs.35 crore), Thondayad and Ramanattukara flyovers (both Rs.90 crore each), improvements to Munampam Kavala-Varapuzha road (Rs.120 crore), and four-laning of the 11-km Choondal-Guruvayur-

Chavakkad stretch have been cleared.

Other projects are Kuttippuram-Thrithala-Pattambi-Shoranur road (Rs.120 crore), Nadukani-Vazhikadavu-

Nilambur-Manjeri-

Malappuram-Vengara-

Thirurangadi-Parappanangadi (Rs.300 crore), Sulthan Bathery NH 212 bypass (Rs.100 crore), 59.41-km Cherupuzha-Payyavoor-

Ulickal

-Vallithodu (Rs.314.31 crore), and 33-km Nandarapadavu to Cherupuzha (Rs. 219.38 crore).

The PWD National Highway (NH) wing and the Roads and Bridges (R& B) wing have been asked to prepare the Detailed Project Report for these 21 projects, Chief Executive Officer, KRFB, P.C. Harikesh said.

The two wings of the PWD have been asked to submit the DPR in three months, he added.

Each DPR will need the nod of the government.
