Students in the Scheduled Caste category writing the entrance examinations for admission to professional courses conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations would receive free of cost a security card, prospectus and the envelope for submitting the application form.
According to a pressnote, such students have to submit an application form including the caste certificate to avail themselves of this facility at the ITD project offices at Nedumangad, Kanjirappally, Idukki, Attappadi, Kalpetta, Nilambur and Kannur and at the Tribal Development Offices at Punalur, Ranni, Moovattupuzha, Chalakkudy, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Mananthavadi, Sulthan Bathery and at Kasaragod. The application along with all necessary certificates should reach the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations before 5 p.m. on January 29.
The application has also to be registered online. All necessary help in this regard would be given by the ITD project officer/Tribal Development Officers/ Tribal Extension Officers.
