The Museum police on Saturday registered a case in connection with irregularities in the accounts of the Police Training College.
The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by college vice principal A. Abdul Rahiman, who accused the college cashier of swindling Rs.82,000 from the college. “She allegedly embezzled Rs.65,000 after forging the vice principal’s signature. She is also accused of making away with Rs.17,000, meant for tax payment. An internal audit brought to light the irregularities,” Ajith Kumar, Circle Inspector, Museum police said.
Further action would be taken only after investigation, he added.
