Doctors under the banner of the Kerala Government Homoeo Medical Officers’ Association, Kerala Government Veterinary Officers’ Association, and Kerala Government Ayurveda Medical Officers’ Federation took out a march to the Secretariat on Wednesday, demanding that the government reinstate the Career Advancement order.
The anomaly rectification cell of the Finance Department had studied the anomalies in the pay scales of Ayurveda and veterinary doctors and had issued an order on August 3, allowing Ayurveda, Homoeo, and Veterinary doctors, a grade equivalent to that of engineers and public prosecutors on completion of 15 years of service.
However, the said GO was cancelled within 24 hours citing huge financial implications. This was unfair and the cancelled order should be reinstated, they said.
