Doctors boycott meeting

All doctors in Health Services boycotted the monthly conference and review meeting called by the District Medical Officer in Thiruvananthapuram, on Thursday, in protest against the ‘harassment' of doctors by the Additional Director of Health Services (Vigilance). he doctors, under the banner of Kerala Government Medical Officers' Association, staged a dharna in front of the office of the Director of Health Services and demanded that the ADHS (Vigilance), P.N. Remani, be removed from service. KGMOA leaders later met Health Minister Adoor Prakash and represented their grievances.

KGMOA had boycotted the monthly review meetings in all other districts on March 6, in protest against the ‘vengeful acts' by the ADHS.
