Cultural forum to promote temple arts

The Karikkakam Sri Chamundi Temple Trust has set up a cultural forum, Karikkakam Sri Chamundi Kalapeetam, in order to promote temple art forms and give training to talented children in music and arts.

This initiative of the trust will be led by eminent teachers and artistes, including Kavalam Narayana Panicker, Kalamandalam Vimala Menon, Omanakkutty teacher, Udupi Balakrishnan and Sasikumar.

Children will receive training in various instrumental music forms, temple arts and other art forms.

The Kalapeetam will be inaugurated on Vishu day, April 15, by Kavalam Narayana Panicker.
