CSR initiatives to mark SBI formation day

State Bank of India (SBI) would present the District Cancer Centre, Kozhencherry, Pathanamthitta, a digital mammogram unit as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and launch its Digital Village Initiative in Balal in Kasaragod.

The mammogram unit would be handed over to the cancer centre, set up as a peripheral cancer care centre of the Regional Cancer Centre here, SBI chief general manager K.N. Nayak here on Friday. The mammogram costs Rs. 199.95 lakh.

The Digital Village Initiative covers 21 villages across the country. Balal is the only village in Kerala which figures among them. The initiative is intended to take these villages into the era of digital banking.
