Corruption in RFID scheme alleged

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Sarathchandra Prasad has alleged that there is corruption to the tune of Rs.1.5 crore in the sticking of Radio Frequency ID (RFID) stickers in front of houses in the city. He said the stickers, which were now lying useless, were installed with the promise of using technology for the welfare of city dwellers. He was speaking after inaugurating a meeting of the Congress party’s Pattom block committee to plan the party’s protest in front of the city Corporation on July 13.
