The Cloud infrastructure inaugurated at the State Data Centre on the Technopark campus here on Wednesday will provide the latest technology for management and operation of e- governance applications for various departments.
It will eliminate the need for departments to buy individual servers and enable sharing of information and hosting applications across different platforms.
Centralised system
A centralised monitoring and error reporting system ensures faster delivery of services and reduced manpower costs. The Cloud infrastructure also enables easier backup and recovery, reduced downtime, and automatic software integration.
Minister for IT P.K. Kunhalikutty inaugurated the Cloud computing system at a function held here on Tuesday. With this, Kerala becomes the second State to have Cloud infrastructure in place.
