A 35-year-old driver of a KSRTC bus, who was involved in an accident near Attingal some days back, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Shinu of Nedumangad. He was driving a Thiruvananthapuram-bound luxury coach when the incident took place at Poovanpara on April 20. The bus had rammed into a lorry that had stopped along the National Highway while some workers were engaged in painting zebra lines.

Shinu, who suffered a serious head injury, had been rushed to the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital. The body was handed over to the family of the deceased, the police said.
