Boy’s body found in marsh

The body of a nine-year-old boy was found partially submerged in a marshy plot near a pond at Mulloor, near Vizhinjam, on Sunday.

The police said the boy was identified as Jithu, the son of Johnny and Sheeja of Mulluvila near Mulloor. The boy was found around 6 p.m. and though he was taken to a private hospital nearby, he was declared brought dead. The body has been shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy on Monday.

The police say the boy could have been murdered and have rounded up a few suspects.
