Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural organisation of Technopark employees, gifted 300 books to the children of the juvenile home at Poojappura.
The books were bought jointly by the members of Prathidhwani at ‘Pusthakaniravu 2016,’ which was organised at Technopark by the Kerala State Institute of Children’s Literature to mark the granting of classical status to Malayalam language and to inculcate reading habit in children.
At a function held at the juvenile home on Tuesday afternoon, officials of the home accepted the gift from the Prathidhwani representatives.
The officials thanked the Technopark employees for gifting the books to the children who hail from the marginalised communities.
