Scheduled Castes Development Minister A.P. Anil Kumar offered floral tributes at the statue of Ayyankali at the Vellayambalam square

The 150 birth anniversary of social reformer Ayyankali was celebrated with meetings and offering of floral tributes in different parts of the State on Thursday.

Scheduled Castes Development Minister A.P. Anil Kumar offered floral tributes at the statue of Ayyankali at the Vellayambalam square. Later in the day, the Minister also inaugurated ‘Dalit Fest 2013’, to mark the birth anniversary. Ayyankali’s grandchildren also offered floral tributes along with hundreds of people.
