ASI suspended

An additional sub-inspector attached to the Museum police station has been placed under suspension pending inquiry for allegedly pouring brine into the fuel tank of a motorcycle during an inspection.

City Police Commissioner P. Prakash suspended Museum ASI Suresh in connection with the alleged incident that had taken place on Friday. The action was taken on the basis of a report submitted by Museum sub-inspector G. Sunil. It was alleged that an expensive motorcycle had been taken into custody after it was found without a registration number. Despite the owner Visakh G. Rajan of Kanjirampara insisting that the vehicle had been purchased only a day ago, he was purportedly made to pay a fine of ₹100. Some people alleged to have seen the ASI pour a solution made out of salt into the fuel tank. Visakh eoo raised the allegation.
