Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah will reach the capital on Saturday. He will lay the foundation stone for the new party State headquarters on Sunday.
BJP national council member M.S. Kumar and party district president S. Suresh told a news conference here on Thursday that Mr. Shah would be received at the airport on Saturday morning and taken to the Guest House accompanied by a motorcade. He would offer floral tributes at the statue of Ayyankali at Vellayambalam on Saturday.
During his stay in the city, the BJP president will meet the party State office-bearers, Sangh Parivar leaders and cultural leaders. As many as 12 meetings are scheduled during his stay in the capital. He will return to Delhi on Tuesday, the BJP leader said.
